A keyboard with emoticons will appear. To use an emoji, scroll until you locate it, then click it. However, the emoji keyboard vanishes after a single click, so you’ll have to repeat the procedure if you want to use it again.

Open the Settings app on your Chromebook to activate the on-screen keyboard. Click Advanced in the left menu window. In the enlarged advanced settings, click Accessibility.

Click on Manage accessibility features. Go to the keyboard and text input area and choose Enable on-screen keyboard by clicking the toggle.

Click the emoji you wish to use. Then, click the close keyboard button in the bottom right corner of the keyboard to shut it off.
